READING GROUP Reading Around the World: Q is for Quebec

Last time we read a book set in a location starting with Q, we went to Queensland and were entertained by Jane Harper’s The Lost Man. Now, we are heading out to Quebec.

Described as “thrilling and page-turning crime fiction” the Chief Inspector Gamache novels make up a series of twenty books by Canadian author Louise Penny. The life of the main character in the series of mystery novels is set in the Sûreté du Québec, the provincial police force.

Books in the series have been nominated for, and have received, numerous awards. This first title, Still Life, was released in 2006.
